Amiens! Its architecture & heritage are wonderful and while it might not be your thing precisely it has France's largest cathedral dating from the 13th century - a truly glorious example of gothic design (it even has a labrynth). And it's huge!

The large old-growth forests in the south are amongst the largest remaining in France (particularly Halatte) and a beautiful contrast to the farmlands towards the coast. And you can only imagine the freshness of the food from such a lush region!

Just beautiful.

If Your referring to the Area in France. I would imagine the rude waiters and white handkerchiefs and every 40 years they host an invasion from the Germans.

Other then that I have no clue.
